I'm excited, I'm originally from Dayton, but moved to the East Coast 7 years ago, going to try to make the trip up to RMU to watch the game WSU if the schedule works out.

Great news. Hopefully some guys from RMUs board will come over and post also.
Will be interesting to see schedules when they come out.
The only ooc games I know for RMU now are @wvu and FGCU at home and I think CMU at home. Think they are in a tournament with IU game for sure. Cleveland State and YSU were to be home games as well, though who knows what will happen with that.

So no baseball; no men's track; no men's swimming/diving; no men's tennis. Is getting them into the League worth it for just basketball? I'm beginning to have a bit of trepidation about RMU. A bit of trepidation? Their basketball program should be competitive with the rest of the +200 ranked teams in the HL and no baseball!

I can say I appreciate the excitement of the RMU coaches, administrators, fans and media over the move to the Horizon League. While fans around the league have concerns about different topics the RMU group is coming with a fresh perspective about the league that I find exciting.
While I am not a huge fan of many other sports around the Horizon League I can appreciate that the addition of RMU makes women's basketball and volleyball even stronger than they currently are. Making anything associated with the Horizon League better is a good thing. Maybe success can breed more success for the other sports as well.
RMU hasn't exactly fared well against the Horizon League in the past but no doubt there is a commitment to men's basketball to be successful. Between their budget and facility they are already doing more than several Horizon League members when it comes to men's basketball.
