How does everyone feel about the conference tournament? Do you think there will be as much chaos as last year?

NKU is coming in 4-1 in their last 5 games. With their only loss being by 2 points on the road to WSU. It is hard to say they aren't the favorite as they are playing good ball when it matters most.
WSU is coming in 3-2 in their last 5 games. With nice wins over UIC and NKU but the IUPUI and Milwaukee losses don't look great. No reason to worry but teams are giving them their best shot and landing a few knockouts.
UIC was hot but is 2-3 in their last 5 games. With home losses to the top 2 teams, a loss to CSU and they were down at GB by 10+ points. Add in the Dixson situation and they are a wildcard at best.
Oakland is also 2-3 in their last 5 games. Injuries and home losses make me think this might not be their year but they do have one of if not the most dynamic scorer in the league on their roster. If they can get any fans to LCA they could be a tough out.
IUPUI is 3-2 in their last 5 games. A team that nobody likes might play with a chip on their shoulder.
Milwaukee is 2-3 in their last 5 games. Although they lost close in all 3 games. A definite sleeper team if they can get over the hump.
Green Bay is 2-3 in their last 5 games. They did have double digit leads against the top 3 seeds in their loses. Cohen is playing well so they could be a sleeper as well.
YSU, CSU and Detroit don't have a chance to win more than one game in my opinion. They aren't coming in hot and weren't that good at any point in the season.
Right now I am going chalk on my championship. NKU over WSU.

I don't know about MCM. It's always an unlikely champ. Of course I want my Grizzlies to win it, but I think either of the top 2 seeds could pull it off.

Maybe my Flames peaked a bit too early. Nevertheless, I think they can regroup. The Dixson thing won't be an issue as the team already knew about his pending departure. The timing was just selfish and Bush League. The Flames are in the bracket with Milwaukee and Wright State. They'll be up for Milwaukee as that team potentially kept them from the Dance! Also I think they have a better chance of getting by WSU to the Final than making it through NKU. Speaking of NKU, they are just a very good team, notwithstanding being swept by Wright State. That matchup, just 1 hour away from each other, might be the next great rivalry in the League. If we could just get that UIC and Milwaukee rivalry going again...

Believe it or not the Vikings are coming into the tournament playing their best basketball of the year, which hasn't happened in a very long time. They went 4-4 in the final 8 games, with wins over WSU and UIC. If the Vikings are hitting their three point shots they can give YSU and NKU a scare.

Don't know. On instagram he just said he was taking his talent elsewhere. Could mean a couple things, but it's all speculation. Some on our board think it could be he possibly graduated early. This is his third year and he could've taken summer classes each year. He also could be in hardship and needs to make money, so it could be overseas. Who really knows, but it's not affecting the team in a negative way.

Coming in 4-4 is solid especially with some good wins in there. I just assumed anyone below GB wasn't doing well as GB was scuffling along until recently. I liked the Felton hire and the roster flexibility he has to rebuild.

DOWN GOES NUMBER ONE!!! For the 3rd year in a row, the number one seed in Motor City Madness loses it's first game! Cleveland State, behind an out-of-his-mind Tyree Appleby, takes down NKU, 89-80. So now the upper bracket is wide open, but Oakland has the "home team" advantage and could wind up in the Final. So far, so good!
