What is the benefit of moving away from travel partners? It seems like an efficient way for teams to schedule and travel.

I will wait and see on this.
If every road trip has two geographically logical games that are played in the Thursday to Sunday window that would be fine by me.
I don't care if a trip is IUPUI/NKU or NKU/WSU for example. It just can't be RMU/PFW.
If this gets rivalry games on Friday or Saturday night that would also be an important consideration.
If GB or Milwaukee end up with a 1 game trip on a Tuesday to YSU then I think it will be a miss. I'd feel the same if it is YSU coming to WI for one game.

Coaches really hate playing five games in a row on the road. I think NKU played seven of its last eight on the road this season. That should never happen.
