Norse Nation was pretty excited about the commitment of Silas Adheke. He was a top JUCO recruit and had originally committed to play at Evansville but red shirted their a year before going the JUCO route. He is a bit raw as he has not been playing basketball long. He came over from Lagos, Nigeria and was discovered by some missionaries with connections to a school in Tennessee. He played for one of the top teams down there and got recruited by some pretty big schools including Kansas State and was considered a 3 star recruit by most scouting services. Its easy to see why as he is a muscular 6 foot 9 man who is quite athletic. He also has shown an ability to hit 3's at the high school and JUCO level. Right now he will likely contribute mostly on defense and rebounding but there is potential to be an explosive offensive player as well. He may be a bit of a project but there is certainly some high upside and gives the Norse some more size. Next year the Norse will likely get some significant minutes from both Adheke and Chris Vogt our 7 foot center.

Good job! Another 3-star recruit. Coach Brannen and his staff are doing a great job. They're gonna keep NKU revelant for a while.
