On the surface it might be silly sounding...the ramblings of a delusional AD... But wait! If you read the way AD Dildy laid things out, how come it WON'T work! The Illinois Legislature will give CSU just enough to keep them from closing in the near future which would give the school time to see if this plan is viable.

I am guessing this idea would work to some extent. It certainly works for private schools. I don't know if the public school pricing is more lean than private schools and has other things that mean it wouldn't apply.
I would say that my only problem with this is that you are making a big play for 100 kids. If football is the only way you can get an extra 100 kids on campus you really have to evaluate what direction the school is going and if sports should be part of it at all.
I love the Jones Convocation Center. It is an awesome place to watch hoops, I hope they figure it out. I also think CSU serves an important mission of helping to educate people who can't get out of the city or circumstances dictate that they need to get back to the city to finish their education. The school isn't in the best neighborhood but still has an important role in the education system in my opinion.

TIL Tracy Dildy is the athletic director at Chicago State. Maybe we don't have it so bad.
